Community Mourns the Death of Leader
Fr. Ed Kelly, the administrator for our parish, has passed away on January 18th, 2009. Following is a reprint of "A Note To Father Ed" by the SFDP community.
We Suffered a terrible loss one week ago; a loss that all of us feel deep in our hears. You came to us only 18 Short Months ago and you left us way too soon.
We will always have your jokes and pokes- you mostly poked at yourself. We thank you for working so hard to bring all of us together. You came to all the club meetings and always spoke to us about unity. We know the example you set will stay with all of us forever. Thank You.
When you came to us and said let's make some changes- you wanted everyone to have input. You showed us how much we can accomplish when we work together.
We have our bus trip memories and all the meals we shared together. Like most of the community, we never missed a meal!!
Your smile was infections, we knew so many times you didn't feel great, but your never showed it. You wanted to keep going, keep serving the Lord.
Now He has you, but we have your spirit. We also have your love and you will always have ours.
Love- Your San Francesco di Paola family.
Fr. Rene Signs Mass at SFDP!
For two weeks, Fr. Rene Robert said mass for the Deaf at San Francesco Di Paola parish downtown. The deaf community thanks him for his kindness. We especially enjoy a new song that is done in pairs. Thank you Fr. Rene!
