Our mission is to promote accessibility for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons in a culturally appropriate manner, and to assist them in participating fully in all aspects of parish and diocesan life by providing pastoral ministry and advocacy



Services Available
Liturgy
Sunday signed/interpreted Masses.
See schedule for times and locations.
Holy Days of Obligation such as Christmas Day (December 25), The Octave of the Nativity (January 1), Ascension Thursday (40 days after Easter), The Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary (August 15), All Saints' Day (November 1), and The Immaculate Conception (December 8).
Archdiocesan Liturgies & Special Events

Religious Education

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) - Classes for deaf adults  who want to become Catholic.  Please contact the office.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) - Classes for deaf children and hearing children of Deaf parents - ages 6-18 who want to become Catholic.  Please contact the office.
Faith Formation [formerly Catholic Christian Doctrine (CCD)] - Religious education classes for deaf children and hearing children of deaf parents - ages preschool through high school.
Sacramental Preparation - Baptism classes, Marriage preparation, etc., as needed.
Assist outlying parishes in mainstreaming Deaf students.
Retreats
Home/Hospital Visitation as needed
Interpreting Services
Religious - Wedding, baptisms, funerals, wake. and other services.
As Needed for Deaf Community to access Archdiocesan services (Catholic Charities, Youth Office, Family Life Office).
Satellite Ministries
Information/Referral Services
We provide deaf persons with information on social services available in San Antonio, and assist them with receiving these services if necessary.
